Needs Assessment
Every organization has varying records management needs and priorities. IMA has considerable experience in developing needs assessments. IMA uses an inventory, interview, and facility walkthrough to assess the organization's needs and to develop a strategic plan for the consultancy.
Action Plans
Action plans focus on the final consulting report's recommendations for action on the client's part. These what-to-do plans are spelled out in the report, in one degree or another, and IMA recommends following them for best results. There are action plans in each of IMA's consulting reports.
Feasibility Studies
IMA does feasibility studies to determine whether a change for the client (e.g., changing from one filing system to another, changing from paper to digital) has significant value. Improved productivity and cost reduction are examples of goals achievable through feasibility studies. IMA welcomes the chance to do cost-effective analyses.
Outsourcing Analysis
Most organizations want to consider outsourcing some of their records management services (e.g., records storage, tape rotation, scanning). IMA does the analysis to determine whether in-house or outsourcing is the best choice.
